South West Tourism Awards

2007 Hotel of the Year - Silver

St Michael's Hotel and Spa "demonstrated exceptionally high standards of customer care" and won the Silver Award in The Best Large Hotel of the Year category. Nigel Carpenter, Proprietor, commented: "We are extremely honoured to be chosen as one of the best large Hotels in the whole South West. It is wonderful to have our transformation recognised."

AA The Flying Fish Restaurant at St Michael's was first awarded an AA Rosette for the high quality of its food in 2005 and has retained this award, after annual inspection, ever since.

We are recommended by Conde Nast Johansens Guide. This is the most comprehensive illustrated reference to annually inspected, independently owned prestigious accommodation and meetings venues throughout the world. It is their objective to maintain the trust of guide users by recommending by annual inspection a careful choice of accommodation offering Quality, Excellent Service and Value for Money.

We are members of Cornish Accredited Restaurants - This is a collection of fine Cornish cuisine restaurants . All members are quality assured, inspected restaurants found throughout Cornwall.

We are members of CoaST - the Cornwall Sustainable Tourism Project - this project has been working for some time with tourism businesses in Cornwall  to help make tourism as sustainable as possible - benefitting the environment, the economy and the people of Cornwall.
