Electricity & Energy
Providing an energy efficient venue including the use of movement light sensors in bathrooms Try to minimize any unnecessary lighting, heating or air conditioning
What you can do...
There are lots things that you can do too; here are just some of them:
· Reduce CO2 emissions by requesting car sharing
· Use websites and emails to promote the event and to invite delegates
· Cut down on any handouts and print double-sided on recycled paper if you have to. Use white board and recycled flip charts to communicate
· If you must use handouts, offer them as an option at the end of the event
· Ensure presenters are aware of electrical presentation facilities. Do not print presentations- they can be distributed electronically after the event
· Minimize the use of free promotional goods that are harmful to the environment
· Re-use badge holders from previous events and request that delegates return them at the end of the day, or use stickers as name badges
· Re-use signs and banners- do not print items that are not absolutely necessary
· If you need graphics designed or new material printed, we can put you in touch with our eco-friendly Cornish design company
