Once again we are delighted to be the proud winners of Gold and Silver award in 2007. The South West Tourism Awards, known as the “Tourism Oscars”, celebrate “the best in the South West” and aim to promote and reward the very best in the tourism industry.
Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week
9th – 16th August 2008 Falmouth Week is now the largest regatta in the South West. This highlight of the calendar provides top level competitive racing in a fun tmosphere. There is plenty of shoreside entertainment too, with events and activities taking place in Falmouth throughout the week.Saturday 9th August – A Celebration of Sail Falmouth Classics event, precedes the main event and now kicks off Falmouth Week in style. Inspired by the original French festivals, Falmouth Classics has been providing fun and spectacle for nearly 20 years.
Falmouth Oyster Festival
16th – 19th October 2008
Falmouth Oyster Festival celebrates the start
of the new oyster season and the diversity and
quality of Cornish Seafood. Falmouth is one
of the last places in the world dredging wild
oysters by hand under sail in traditional boats.
The Festival opens with a master-class from a
Celebrity Chef, followed by a packed programme
including cookery demonstrations by leading
local chefs, seafood sales, wine and ale,
children’s shell painting, sea shanties, town
parade, live music and marquees packed with
Cornish produce and crafts - come and enjoy the food and savour the atmosphere!

Tall Ships Week 2008
In September 2008 Falmouth plays host to this gathering of the greatest Tall Ships on the seven seas. These grand ladies of the ocean will set sail for Funchal in Madeira on13th September so book early to ensure your place at the starting line.
