Spa, Health & Fitness Expansion
We are in the process of an exciting new Spa & Health Club development, extending our current facilities to provide a fabulous new fitness suite and dance studio and extend the gym this winter.
This should be completed by April and you will be able to pre-book classes and personal training time when you make your room reservation.
Next winter (2013/14) we plan to expand the spa further and build on the spa experience with new features and further treatment rooms.

Old County Hall to transform into flagship hotel & spa for Truro
Cornwall Council have approved the sale of Old County Hall to St Michael’s Hotel & Spa owner, Nigel Carpenter, this week. The sale is subject to a satisfactory planning consent being obtained.
Gylly Beach chosen by The Independent as one of the top beaches in the UK

Jenni Falconer presented a feature called 'Summer Family Getaways' to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, which included holidays to Zante, Majorca and Falmouth!
Falmouth Oyster Festival Win Gold at SW Tourism Excellence Awards
The Falmouth Oyster Festival has won Gold in the Tourism Event category at this year’s South West Tourism Excellence Awards.

Cornwall Tourism Awards Winners
We're pleased to announce that we have won the Bronze Award in the Large Hotel of the Year category at the annual Cornwall Tourism Awards, which took place on 8 November 2012.
We've been short listed for an award every year since they launched 11 years ago.
Nigel Carpenter said, "I feel so proud of the team at St Michael's for achieving another win this year. We've had no big changes, refurbishments, or extensions - this years award has been all about the team and the customer service they provide to our guests."
Surprise Hotel Inspection
St Michael's received a surprise unofficial visit from Channel 5’s Hotel Inspector this June and passed with flying colours.
Hotelier Alex Polizzi was in town for filming at a nearby hotel and chose to stay at St Michael’s.
Over a morning coffee, a slightly anxious proprietor, Nigel Carpenter, took the opportunity to introduce himself and was” totally charmed” by Polizzi who complimented the hotel on “such friendly and helpful staff”.
She said: “I must compliment you on your mattress and pillows, I had one of the best night’s sleep I have ever had”.
