This year’s seventh annual festival will take place from June 18-20, with some 350 singers from Britain and abroad descending on the town and attracting an anticipated aggregate audience of around 10,000. Last year’s event boosted RNLI funds by a record £4,000
There will be unbroken singing through the festival, with at least one group in action at some point, at one of the six locations
This year’s participating groups include the return after a two-year absence of Hooks and Crookes, of Waterford, Ireland, who have previously proved a big hit. Also returning are Dutch Courage, from the Netherlands, who made their Falmouth debut last year, along with Cherbourg Shanties.
