Retail Therapy

Cobbled streets, hidden gems and independent offerings that draw you in - uncover a different way to shop. With specialist shops settled next to high-street staples, a wander through Falmouth’s winding street will leave your shopping hunger sated.

Here are ten of our favourite shopping spots to while away an afternoon:

Beside the Wave

Immerse yourself in Cornish expression, by setting foot into this gallery featuring the leading makers, crafters and artists the County has to offer. From jewellery to ceramics, paintings to fabrics, with a wealth of talent on display, you’ll find it hard leaving empty handed.

Seasalt

Inspired by Cornwall, impeccable attention to detail and impossible-to-choose-from clothing make Seasalt a favourite with St Michaels, Falmouth visitors young and old. We often see our guests leaving with a Seasalt bag or two in hand.

Joules

Chic mixes with nautical charm create casual clothing that echoes coastal living. If you’re heading out on the water, be sure to pick up a pair of their boating shoes – you’ll really look the part.

Bosun’s Locker

Filled to the gunwales with everything from ships chandlery to marine-themed books and arts, Bosun’s Locker is well worth a good nose around. And if you need a bit of rope splicing, you’re in luck.

March Hare

From laid-back leisurewear to elegant evening dresses, the ladies at March Hare on Falmouth’s high-street are always on hand to pick you out an ideal outfit.

Wearnes

Take home a slice of Cornwall’s heritage with Wearnes hand-made jewellery, forged from genuine Cornish tin infused with gold.

SWEET PEA & BETTY

Shabby and chic, vintage and unique – this home décor boutique has everything from ornate mirrors to elegant chandeliers, glassware to cheers with and fabrics to add some serious style to your boudoir. And if you fancy a home project, they have all the tools you need to get upcycling too.

Old Town Hall Antiques

Step into this emporium of exotic antiques for a bounty of eye-catching pieces from days gone by. Sat at the top of the old high street in Falmouth’s former town hall, let these weird and wonderful objects take you back in time.

The Bottle Bank

Wine buffs beware, a trip to The Bottle Bank can take its toll on your pocket. Sat in Discovery Quay near the Maritime Museum, this high-end off license stocks premium wine producers from around the world, as well as a worthy selection of beers and spirits. The perfect place to discover the ideal drop (or five).
