How to do a jumping front kick

Here at St Michaels Health Club we love Les Mills classes – and how awesome our instructors are at teaching them! Sometimes, however, you need a little bit of practice with some of the moves so we’ve created this post with Bex to help with one of the more difficult kicks; the jumping front kick. So, clear a space and lets get practising!

First step

Firstly, lifting your right knee, push off the left leg

Step two

Using your arms to propel yourself vertically, engage abs

Step three

Switch legs and lift left knee up above hip height as you leave the ground

Step four

Extend front leg and then retract as you land with bent left knee


Return to boxing guard to finish.
