How to do a Pull-up with Steve

As part of our workout Metabolic Effect post with Steve he recommended doing pull-ups as part of a combination of moves and here he breaks it down for us:

Pull-up Start position

Begin from a dead hang: arms fully extended, hands about shoulder width apart (palms facing out for pull-ups, elbows straight, chest up, shoulders back and tight, eyes trained on the bar above (palms facing out for pull-ups, elbows straight, chest up, shoulders back and tight, eyes trained on the bar above).

Pull-up elbows down

Pull yourself up toward the bar, leading with the chest and keeping your eyes focused on the bar. Drive your elbows toward the floor.

Pull-up head up

Clear the bar with your chin.

Pull-up Lower down

Lower yourself in a controlled fashion, then repeat the process.
