Falmouth and Beyond and On the Water
A great way to make the most of Falmouth’s beaches is to take advantage of all the fantastic watersports and adventure sports on offer.
Beaches and On the Water
Thrilling. Bracing. Refreshing. There’s nothing better than a wild swim to revive and wake you up. We swear by an early morning alfresco dive into cool clear open waters of the sea or nearby rivers, surrounded by nothing but silence. It’s all about reconnecting to yourself, boosting your health and giving yourself a full body and mind work out. Choose your place, pace and friends. Then grab your goggles and take the plunge. We promise you won’t regret it.
Beaches, On the Water and Green Cornwall
This month, the blue flag flies over Gyllyngvase ("Gylly") beach once again. Widely considered the gold standard for beaches, there are only 61 beaches with this Blue Flag status in the UK. And not only has that been restored - Gyllyngvase has also won a Seaside Award with Keep Britain Tidy, which recognises beaches that meet the very highest standards for cleanliness and facilities.
